Romain Deixonne's final pitch to a panel of investors in the Toulouse Business School amphitheater didn't leave much hope for the other 9 finalists. The start-ups from Montpellier, Toulouse, Béziers and Perpignan still in the running on arrival in Barcelona found it hard to compete with the product proposed by this Perpignan start-up. A "no electronics" product that the jury quickly voted as the innovation that could not miss out on the French Tech grand prize.. So what is "Solecooler"? And what is Climfeet, the innovation that won the gold award at French Tech Perpignan? The marketing manager of this start-up, which was born in 2019 and has since been incubated by the Impact incubator at Tecnosud, is bound to have the most to say about it, since he won the pitch competition in all categories.

"It's a great reward to receive this award, but above all it's incredible to see how our solution has been getting noticed all over the world in recent months." said Romain Deixonne on Wednesday evening. Nothing surprising there. Solecooler" creator Bruno Aubert's idea and project were born to change the world of shoe soles.A true breakthrough innovation"What we have created after two years of research is the first thermoregulated silicone insole, i.e. thanks to the mechanical movement of walking, the insole can either heat the temperature of the foot to plus 3.5 degrees or cool it to minus 4 degrees".says Romain.

U.S. military interested

Marketed since the end of 2022, over 2000 pairs of Climfeet insoles have been produced. The Perpignan-based start-up was the guest at the beginning of 2023 of the Consumer electronic show (CES) in Las Vegas. Quite an accolade. And after winning the gold medal at this year's Lépine competition, the start-up won two international trophies this week alone, one in Munich and the second in Barcelona on Wednesday evening.. Not bad for a start-up from Tecnosud. Suez, Geodis, to name but a few, are interested in this innovative sole. And even the US army. A success story is born. Thank you French Tech Perpignan
